KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: A total of 10 contracts for the Ministry of Health are currently at the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT), awaiting the opening of bids. These contracts are for the modernization of the integrated healthcare system in order to provide high-quality medical care and solidify the concept of sustainable healthcare. One of these contracts is for preparing studies, designs and supervising the implementation of the service center buildings at Mutlaa Health City, another for the construction, completion, equipping, furnishing and maintenance of the automated laboratories and central sterilization departments, one contract for completing the design, construction and maintenance work for areas requiring future development at Kuwait Cancer Center, and two contracts for the construction, equipping, furnishing and maintenance of the central kitchen at Farwaniya Hospital.
Meanwhile, CAPT opened the bid envelopes for the tender to supply 20 refrigerated medicine trucks for the Medical Warehouses Department. Five bids, which were accepted and will compete for the tender, have been forwarded to the ministry. After this, the bids will be referred back to CAPT to take a decision on awarding the contract to the bidder that meets the specifications and technical requirements.
