KUWAIT CITY, Aug 2 : The Assistant Undersecretary for Private Medical Services Affairs at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Fatima Al-Najjar, announced the committee comprising members from the Health Licensing Department and the Medicines Inspection Department of the Ministry of Health and the Public Authority for Manpower has ‘sealed’ a private medical center in the Salmiya area for committing several violations, including a cleaning worker who was caught operating a laser device without a license, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Dr Al-Najjar said in a press statement that a doctor and some workers have also arrested, for working without a license, in addition to confiscating expired medicines. Dr. Al-Najjar added all those arrested will be referred to the Public Prosecution and the Medical Responsibility Authority for legal action. She explained the raid was conducted after a report was received about the violations.
