MOH in the process of building drug warehouses in all governorates to enhance drug security

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: Within the framework of enhancing drug security and maintaining safe strategic stocks, informed sources revealed to Al-Rai that the Ministry of Health is in the process of preparing new drug warehouses across various governorates.

The sources explained that “this comes within the framework of the directives of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, to overcome the challenges that may result from being affected by the geopolitical events taking place in the region,” stressing that “the strategic stock of various medicines and medical preparations is safe.”

The sources pointed out that “among the most prominent pillars of the ministry’s future plans in this regard is diversifying sources of medicines, working to create new partnerships, and enhancing cooperation with medicine-producing countries, in addition to working to develop regulatory frameworks to accelerate the documentary cycle.”

The sources pointed to Al-Awadhi’s recent visit to Turkey, which included a visit to one of the Turkish pharmaceutical factories to see the most prominent services and products it provides.
