MoE to issue explanatory memo about exam malpractice decree

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: Ministry of Education intends to issue an explanatory memo concerning the decree on malpractice during examinations, reports Al-Rai daily.

The explanatory memo is aimed at standardizing the enforcement of regulations in the decree especially for the articles that can be interpreted in different ways. It is also aimed at preventing individual explanations by the managers of schools.

According to sources, Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Hamid Al-Azmi asked directors of all educational zones to prepare reports with their viewpoints concerning the new mechanism for confronting the phenomenon of malpractice during examinations. The explanatory memo will take into consideration these viewpoints and observations.

The sources stressed that the procedures include reshuffl ing the managers of secondary school during the mid-year exams, as this process succeeded in minimizing cheating during exams in all educational zones
