KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: The engineering affairs departments in the Educational Facilities and Planning Sector of Ministry of Education are fully prepared to deal with the malfunctions in the fuse boxes in schools caused by the rain or the cases of water accumulation in the squares due to the ineffectiveness of manholes and drainage networks, reports Al-Rai daily quoting informed sources.

They said, “The engineering teams will follow up with school principals about the conditions of their schools in order to take the necessary measures before the start of classes at the beginning of the week.

The schools are currently closed and their administrations have not yet monitored their conditions due to the heavy rains in the country this weekend.”

The sources ruled out the disruption of classes on Sunday, "because the time is sufficient to deal with any damages in schools in all educational areas.”

They added that, “The facilities sector had prepared in advance for the rain during the past month and has enough experience to deal with rain damages either through its engineering cadres or through cooperation with the suction tanks affiliated to the Ministry of Public Works.”
