KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: The Ministry of Education is currently studying a proposal to modify the school hours in the primary stage, so that work ends at 1:20 pm instead of 1:30 pm, reports Al-Anba daily. Undersecretary of the ministry Dr Ali Al-Yacoub referred the proposal of Kuwait Teachers Association to the Public Education Sector, which has been tasked to prepare the response.

The daily obtained a copy of the proposal in which Chairperson of the association Hamad Al-Houli, said: “First, we appreciate your keenness to strengthen coordination between the ministry and the association, through which we jointly contribute to the development of the educational process and its outputs.

“Within the framework of the association’s commitment to improve education, we are pleased to present to you the proposal of the association and experts in the educational field regarding Resolution 17317 which specifies 1:30 pm as the closing time for primary schools.
