Kuwait’s Hajj delegation is fully operational as pilgrims arrive in Makkah.
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: The official gazette “Kuwait Al-Youm” published on Sunday Ministerial Decision No. 175/2025 issued by the Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel, adding the activity of Hajj pilgrimage organization to the list of approved freelance business activities in the country. The new decision is issued as an addendum to Ministerial Decision No. 168/2025, which included 120 activities, reflecting the ongoing expansion of freelance business in Kuwait. Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Industry closed two industrial plots in Mirqab and South Amghara. It imposed an administrative penalty on a waste treatment company for serious violations, including failure to utilize the facility, constructing workers’ housing without a license, and operating an unlicensed industrial activity.
The authority warned that harsher administrative penalties would be imposed if the violations are not addressed. Plot 1, located in the Mirqab Industrial Area, Block 1, Plot 3, was given a one-month grace period from the start of the closure. Plot B 6, located in the South Amghara area, Plot 1, was given only one week.
