Fake account opened in name of MoE undersecretary

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 26: The Ministry of Communications at the request of the Ministry of Interior is said to have disconnected 5,357 land telephone lines belonging to the Ministry of Interior in 18 districts in all governorates of Kuwait, reports Al- Rai daily.

According to a source familiar with the Ministry of Communications, the disconnection was from five districts in the Capital Governorate, three in Farwaniya, two in Mubarak Al-Kabir, five in Hawalli and three in Jahra citing lack of need.

The source pointed out the annual subscription value of these lines exceeded 370,000 dinars annually. However, the Interior Ministry has to pay the accumulated bills of these lines.

Meanwhile, an unidentified person is said to have opened an account on Twitter in the name of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Dr Saud Al-Harbi although it is known Al-Harbi does not use the social media and does not have any account, reports Al-Qabas daily.
