Mobile ‘baqalas’ , hawkers targeted

A mobile grocery is confiscated by the Kuwait Municipality for violating the rules.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 22: Public Hygiene and Road Usage Department of Jahra Municipality carried out a campaign against hawkers and unlicensed mobile grocery stores along Abdali Road, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Director of the department Fahad Al-Qareefah explained that the officials seized 24 motorbikes and two abandoned vehicles, and removed 19 unlicensed grocery stores on wheels during the campaign. The supervisor prepared a comprehensive plan prior to the campaign after noting down the major locations where street hawkers and unlicensed grocery stores usually operate.
