Mirqab Road Fully Closed, Sixth Ring Road Lanes Shut for Repairs Until Aug 30

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: The General Traffic Department announced the full closure of Omar Bin Al-Khattab Street in Mirqab, including its entrance and exit onto Al-Sour Street, due to roadworks. The department also announced the closure of the entrance and exit from Al-Sour Street onto Abdullah Al- Mubarak Street from Wednesday until Sunday, August 30.

Also, the temporary closure of the slow and middle lanes on Jassim Mohammed Al-Kharafi Road (Sixth Ring Road), opposite the Martyrs area, in the direction of Jahra was announced.

The closure will also include the King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Road exit leading to the Sixth Ring Road.

The closures will begin on Friday, August 28, 2026, and remain in effect until Sunday, August 30, 2026.

The General Traffic Department urged road users to consider the closures and exercise caution while travelling through the affected areas
