Ministry of Commerce and Industry shuts down unlicensed office offering fraudulent training program.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: In a recent crackdown on unauthorized business practices, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has seized the premises of an office found to be operating without the necessary licenses. The action came after the ministry monitored an advertisement promoting a two-year training program in exchange for financial compensation.

According to the advertisement, participants in the program would receive a certificate upon completion, with the added credibility of bearing the Ministry of Commerce logo. However, upon investigation, it was discovered that the office was operating without a commercial license.

Furthermore, it was determined that the advertised training program violated the licensing regulations set forth by the Private Training Department in the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. As a result, any certificates issued by the office were deemed illegal and unrecognized.

In response to these findings, the office has been closed, and legal proceedings are underway to address the violation. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry remains vigilant in safeguarding consumers against misleading practices and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
