Ministry of Interior’s Vigilance: 143 Offenders Arrested in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4:  In pursuit of the Ministry of the Interior’s efforts to arrest individuals who violate the law, the General Administration of Residence Affairs Investigations achieved significant success. They arrested a total of 143 expats hailing from various nationalities for violations related to the Residency and Work Law. Additionally, they uncovered two fake Housemaids offices operating in multiple regions. Among those arrested, 10 expats were charged with begging, 7 illegal street vendors, and 6 for operating unlicensed restaurants. Furthermore, an individual practicing a medical profession was found in possession of a quantity of medicines without the necessary license.

In a separate operation, 2 expats were found operating an illicit local liquor manufacturing facility and were found to be in possession of 25 bottles of locally produced wine. Furthermore, 3 expats were arrested for unlawfully residing in a medical clinic. During the investigation, unlicensed medicines were found, along with stores that failed to meet the stipulated conditions for storage and general hygiene.

All arrested individuals have been referred to the appropriate authorities to initiate the required legal actions against them. This operation is part of the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.
