KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: The Ministry of Health has taken the necessary measures regarding the assault of two doctors – a Kuwaiti and an expatriate – at Farwaniya Hospital in accordance with Professional Practice Law number 70/2020, reports Al-Qabas daily. The ministry condemned the attack, stressing that it remains committed to protecting the medical personnel. It expressed appreciation for the efforts being exerted by medical professionals, confirming it is keen on providing them with a safe working environment to ensure they carry out their noble mission as needed.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Medical Association issued a statement denouncing the incident; disclosing that it has contacted the two doctors and appointed a lawyer to file a case against the attacker. Health sources informed the daily that the assault happened on Thursday, near the recovery room in the Emergency Department of the hospital. They also confirmed the immediate submission of a detailed incident report to the concerned officials at the hospital and Farwaniya Health District.
