Ministry of Health closes door for ‘transfer’ of its employees

KUWAIT CITY, May 1: The Ministry of Health has stopped receiving transfer requests for the ministry’s employees after the end of the prescribed period, which was based on the decision of the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed, which stipulates that the ministry receives the requests from all employees once a year, and that is in the month of April, reports Al-Anba daily.

The Ministry of Health had stipulated that the request must be submitted on the prescribed form, which identifies the ‘from and to’ location with the approval of the concerned assistant undersecretary, and that the requests have to be submitted within the first 15 days of April.

The ministry has also formed a committee to look into requests for transfers of employees between central departments and health regions, and decided on the requests according to the work need, in line with the nature of health facilities, whether transferred from or to them, and in a manner that achieves equal distribution in the sectors of the ministry in coordination with the concerned authorities in the ministry. The committee determines the extent to which the employee requesting the transfer will benefit from the authority he is transferred to in light of his/her job title, qualifications and academic certificates obtained to maintain good service performance and the interest of the work.
