KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: Ahmed Al-Wahida, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, has officially declared the suspension of activities in the Ministry of Education, including its central offices, educational zones, schools, and institutes. This three-day suspension, commencing from Sunday, 12/17/2023, serves as a mark of mourning for the passing of the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

In an official statement, Al-Wahida explained that there would be adjustments to the commencement dates of the first semester exams for the academic year 2023/2024. For the intermediate stage, the exams will now begin on December 20, 2023, and conclude on December 28, 2023. As for the secondary stage, encompassing the tenth and eleventh grades in both literary and scientific disciplines, the exams will commence on Wednesday, December 20, and run until Thursday, January 4, 2024. Furthermore, Al-Wahida noted that the exams for the twelfth grade in the scientific and literary departments would be postponed to January 7, 2024.
