KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: The Ministry of Social Affairs extended the period for updating the data of private nurseries for another month - until Nov 29, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources who said the previous deadlines were Sept 27 and Oct 29.
Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for the Social Development Sector at the ministry Hana Al-Hajri said in a press statement that the owners of private nurseries or their representatives should book an appointment for updating their data at the new headquarters of the Private Nurseries Department in Qusour, Mubarak Al- Kabeer Governorate.
She added the concerned person should submit the required documents; such as copies of civil ID, license and the educational qualification of the license holder. She explained that updating the data is the first step in a series of procedures for using the automated link with the authorities in charge of the issuance of licenses for establishing a private nursery, renewal or cancellation of the existing license or opening a branch.
She affirmed the ministry is keen on simplifying procedures and improving services; hence, it intends to hold meetings with officials of the Commerce and Industry Ministry to coordinate their efforts in dealing with companies that added a special nursery to their commercial activities.
She went on to say that the new licenses for nurseries will be issued using official papers with protection against fraud, indicating the distribution will begin as per the timetable for nurseries which have updated their data. She also warned that legal measures will be taken against the nurseries proven to have violated Private Nurseries Law No. 22/2014 and its executive regulations.
