Ministry cracks down: Restaurants caught manipulating grill pan weights

KUWAIT CITY, April 17: The Ministry of Trade and Industry has taken decisive action against restaurants found guilty of tampering with grill pan weights. Commercial Control Inspectors stationed at the Salmiya Center reported three violations in which restaurants intentionally decreased the weight of the grill pan after grilling.

Trade officials, using their official account on the social networking site “X”, announced today, Tuesday, that legal measures have been initiated against the violators.

The violations highlight concerns over deceptive practices within the restaurant industry, where accurate measurements are crucial for ensuring fair trade practices and consumer confidence. The Ministry’s response underscores its commitment to upholding standards and protecting consumer rights.
