KUWAIT CITY, May 18: The Ministry of Interior has clarified that a video currently circulating on social media depicting riots in a women's prison is old and dates back to 2016.
In a statement, the Security Media Department explained, "An old video clip circulating on some social media sites includes riots in a women’s prison. The incident dates back to 2016, and all necessary measures were taken at the time." The department urged the public to verify information accuracy and rely on official sources for updates and news.
This clarification comes as part of the ministry's efforts to prevent misinformation and ensure that the public receives accurate and timely information.
