KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6, (Agencies): The Ministry of Public Works has established a committee to evaluate bids for the supply, installation, and maintenance of security cameras within the Government Laboratories of Quality Control and Research. Led by Assistant Undersecretary for the Government Sector, Ms. Iman Al-Omar, the committee comprises six members from the ministry.

Sources revealed that the committee is currently reviewing the bids submitted by practitioners in accordance with the practice requirements. The bidding process concluded on October 29, and the ministry is currently assessing the proposals. These security cameras will be installed in the corridors of the laboratories, utilizing state-of-the-art surveillance systems for monitoring employee access, ensuring the security of testing equipment and samples, and implementing recommendations from the Audit Bureau.

Additionally, the ministry has received the necessary approvals and is actively working on procuring security gates for the main entrances and exits of the Government Center. The initiative aims to enhance security measures at the facility.

The ministry's efforts to improve security and surveillance in government labs are in line with the broader goals of enhancing the quality and efficiency of its operations.
