Minister pledges to speed up road maintenance projects across Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan reaffirmed the ministry's commitment on Wednesday to closely monitor and expedite major road maintenance projects across the country, ensuring their completion meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

In a press statement, Al-Mashaan emphasized that the ministry is dedicated to advancing infrastructure development in line with Kuwait's vision for modernization. She highlighted ongoing efforts in the radical maintenance work on the Fourth Ring Road, specifically in the Shuwaikh area, where teams are working on laying a new layer of Type 1 asphalt as part of the comprehensive renovation project under new maintenance contracts.

The minister noted that supervisory teams are closely monitoring the progress of the work, ensuring that it aligns with the established timelines and approved technical specifications. She also reiterated that the ministry is committed to improving the road network's efficiency while enhancing the safety of road users, in support of the country's broader infrastructure development goals.
