KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22: Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, Youth Affairs, and Communications Affairs, Daoud Marafie, expressed his backing for Kuwaiti equestrian sports. He pledged to carefully examine decisions affecting this sport and its practitioners, particularly those impacting a significant number of Kuwaiti equestrians.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the tenth edition of the “Atyab Al-Marshoud” International Show Jumping Championship, where Kuwait Club’s Ali Jassim Al-Kharafi emerged as the champion, Marafie stated, “Having recently assumed responsibilities at the Ministry of Youth, ongoing matters related to equestrianism will undergo a thorough review. We are committed to ensuring that every rightful claim is duly addressed. Our focus is on supporting our fellow equestrians and understanding the legal aspects behind decisions concerning equestrian sports to facilitate appropriate amendments. We will approach this matter judiciously and uphold a legal perspective.”

Minister Daoud Marafi actively participated in awarding the championship title to Ali Al-Kharafi. Present at the ceremony were tournament sponsor Walid Sulaiman Al-Marshoud and the head of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, Masoud Jawhar Hayat.
