Mild Tremors Reported in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, May 5: Residents across parts of Kuwait reported feeling mild tremors on Tuesday at around 1.27 pm, sparking concern as authorities move to verify the source and magnitude of the shaking. As per Global seismic monitoring agencies reported that the earthquake registered a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale, occurring at a depth of 55 kilometers near Al Ahmadi.

Meanwhile, residents in Shuwaikh and Farwaniya reported that buildings shook lightly for about two seconds. The Kuwait National Seismic Network at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research recorded a 4.4-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale in the Al-Manaqish area, southwest of Kuwait, on Tuesday.
