LOS ANGELES, Jan 16: Designers from the Middle East took center stage at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards and its after-party, as Hollywood stars including Katherine Heigl, Heidi Klum, Zanna Roberts Rassi, and Aubrey Plaza adorned themselves in stunning gowns and jewelry crafted by regional talents.

US actress Katherine Heigl turned heads in a custom-made hot red gown by Lebanese designer Reem Acra, showcasing the Middle East’s influence on the global fashion scene. Supermodel Heidi Klum opted for a Tiffany blue dress designed by Lebanese-Italian fashion maestro Tony Ward at the Walt Disney Company Emmy Awards after-party, adding a touch of Middle Eastern flair to the prestigious event.

Entertainment reporter Zanna Roberts Rassi flaunted a set of rings by Los Angeles-based, Lebanon-born designer Suzanne Kalan, whose creations have been gaining popularity on red carpets. Meanwhile, US actress Jessica Chastain sported the eponymous brand’s Bold Burst Rainbow Sapphire Tennis Necklace by Suzanne Kalan at the 2024 National Board of Review Gala in New York over the weekend.

Actress and comedian Aubrey Plaza sparkled in EFFY jewelry, founded by Fatollah “Effy” Hematian, an entrepreneur who moved from Iran to the US in the late 1970s, showcasing the cultural diversity embedded in the entertainment industry.

The awards ceremony itself witnessed the hit show “Succession” solidifying its legacy with its third Best Drama Series award, while “The Bear” claimed the night’s top comedy honor.
