KUWAIT CITY, May 26: Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Subaih Al- Mukhaizeem issued a decision to withdraw the judicial authority of six members of the judicial enforcement team comprised of ministry employees, in the interest of work.
In another development, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy on Monday signed a contract for the construction, completion and maintenance of the water pumping station and its facilities at Site One in Mutla’a Residential City. The contract, valued at KD29.857 million, is included in the plan of the ministry to develop the freshwater system in new residential cities. Sources from the ministry disclosed that the Water Projects Department is implementing the system according to the latest international specifications and standards, ensuring the efficient and continuous provision of fresh water to consumers. Sources affirmed that the water infrastructure projects in Mutlaa City are progressing significantly under the supervision of Al-Mukhaizeem and Undersecretary of the ministry Dr. Adel Al-Zamel, who are keen on expediting the completion of these projects to cover the freshwater needs of the residents in the city. Sources said the water system in the city includes the pumping station, water transmission lines, underground reservoirs and water towers. Sources added that contract also covers periodic maintenance work for the station and its facilities to maintain operational sustainability and prevent disruptions.
