MEW illegally allows some expats to pay dues in monthly installments

KUWAIT CITY, May 7: Ministry of Electricity and Water has illegally excluded a number of expatriates from paying their dues of electricity and water consumption, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They explained that a collection office recently allowed an Iranian man to pay his dues of KD 5,600 on monthly installments of 100 KD for four years with initial payment of KD 600.

However, such a process is unprecedented and was never applied even on citizens. Th e sources added the employee did this based on instructions from the deputy assistant undersecretary of an unknown sector.
