The day’s fixtures culminate with a clash between Kuwait University and the Kuwait College of Science and Technology in the first group.
As the competition unfolds, the victor of each group secures a coveted spot in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the second-place teams from Groups A and B will compete against the third-place finishers for a chance to enter the semi-finals.
This exciting process is determined through a lottery system.
Dr. Salman Haji, the director of the tournament’s third edition, underlines that this year’s iteration boasts the participation of 16 educational institutions, encompassing both private and public universities, as well as military establishments. The tournament encompasses a diverse array of games, including 6 for men and 4 for women.
Dr. Haji emphasizes that this season’s games have seen significant university and college participation, thanks to the organizing committee’s thoughtful scheduling that avoids overlap, allowing participants ample time to prepare and manage their affairs.
The ultimate goal is to elevate the players’ technical and physical prowess while intensifying the spirit of competition.
Furthermore, Dr. Haji highlights the generous financial rewards allocated by the School Union, in collaboration with their esteemed strategic partner, Warba Bank, for the first, second, and third-place finishers. Additionally, the recipient of the General Excellence Shield, the entity with the most titles, will be recognized and celebrated.
