KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health (MoH) registered on Tuesday 4,397 additional COVID-19 cases over a 24-hour span, increasing the total number of infections to 441,999, while 1 fatalities were recorded, with one death toll at 2,473. There were 626 fresh recovery cases, increasing the total to 414,867 cured people so far, as recoveries represent 93.9 percent of the overall infections, MoH’s Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA. Active cases amounted to 24,659 with 15 of them in intensive care units, and 162 patients at hospital wards, he said. Health authorities conducted 37,540 swab tests to a total of 6,273,509, which meant that 10.1 percent of swab tests performed in 24 hours were infections, he revealed.
