KUWAIT CITY, July 17: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN), in cooperation with several government agencies, carried out an intensive 48-hour inspection campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh that resulted in 315 violations being recorded and the destruction of food deemed unfit for human consumption.
The campaign formed part of an expanded security operation in the area and involved the participation of 102 food inspectors, who conducted extensive inspections of food establishments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
During the operation, inspectors detected numerous violations of food safety requirements and confiscated and destroyed quantities of food products found to be unfit for human consumption, preventing them from reaching consumers.
PAFN said the campaign reflects its commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring that food sold in the local market meets approved safety standards.
The authority stressed that inspection campaigns will continue across all six governorates in cooperation with the relevant government agencies to monitor food establishments, identify violators and enforce food safety regulations.
PAFN reaffirmed that it will continue to apply the law firmly and without leniency against anyone found violating food safety requirements, emphasizing that protecting consumers and maintaining the highest standards of food safety remain among its top priorities.
