KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: The Ministry of Interior has reported a significant drug bust by the Criminal Security Sector, led by the General Administration for Drug Control (Local Control Department). The operation resulted in the arrest of an individual found in possession of 96 kilograms of hashish, 2 kilograms of chemical substances, 1) kilograms of Captagon powder, and 20 grams of crystal meth. Additionally, over a million Captagon tablets, a device used for pressing and manufacturing Captagon tablets, and (3) firearms with ammunition were seized.

Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to ownership of the confiscated items for drug trafficking and abuse. Subsequently, both the individual and the seized items were handed over to the appropriate authorities for further legal action.

The General Department of Security Relations and Media reiterated the commitment of the Criminal Security personnel and all ministry sectors to combat drug trafficking and eliminate its promoters. The Ministry urges the public to cooperate with security forces and report any suspicious activities by contacting the emergency hotline (112) or the General Administration for Drug Control hotline (1884141).
