Massive Crackdown on Residency Violations – 212 Expats Detained

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: The Ministry of Interior arrested 212 expats for violating residency and labor laws at various locations. These locations include the vegetable market, Sharq market, fish market in the Sharq region, Mubarakiya market, stalls in the Mahboula area, Fahaheel fish market, and Fahaheel markets.

The General Administration of Residency Affairs Investigations conducted comprehensive inspection campaigns, with the active involvement of the Research and Investigation Department, the Supervision and Coordination Department, the Financial and Administrative Services Department, the Tripartite Committee, the General Director’s Division, and the Violators’ Follow-up Department at these locations.

These operations resulted in the arrest of 212 expats who were found in violation of the Residency and Labor Law. Legal actions are currently underway to address these violations.
