A collaborative effort between Belgian and Dutch authorities has resulted in the confiscation of approximately 7,700 kilograms of cocaine, as announced by Dutch law enforcement on Tuesday. The estimated street worth of this cocaine shipment varies, with addiction research center Jellinek suggesting it could be valued between 345 to 462 million euros. In unrelated cases, recent assessments from the Dutch Public Prosecution Service have indicated a value of nearly 570 million euros.

The discovery was made by customs officials operating at the Port of Antwerp, who uncovered the concealed cocaine within a shipment of bananas on Monday. Subsequently, a joint task force was activated, involving investigators and prosecutors from both countries, to address this significant drug seizure.
