KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: At a time the Kuwaiti public is waiting for the announcement of the new government headed by HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, it is expected that the 45th government in the country’s history and the first under the reign of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will witness massive change in terms of the names of ministers, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.

Sources confirmed that since the time His Highness the Amir issued an Amiri Decree on the appointment of Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as Prime Minister and assigned the latter to nominate members of the new government; the formation has been ongoing because a new concept is being adopted in the selection of ministers. Sources stressed that HH the Prime Minister will choose members of the new government based on their competence, ability to plan and change the country’s conditions for the better, realize the citizens’ ambitions and aspirations, complete stalled development projects, fight against corruption, address defects in the performance of State agencies, and correct the path in compliance with the directives of His Highness the Amir.

Public support for HH the Prime Minister remains strong due to his good reputation; as well as his political, economic and diplomatic experience. Everyone is waiting for the new government formation, headed by the country’s 10th Prime Minister -- Sheikh Dr Mohammad Salem Al-Sabah, to begin the steps toward work and achievement, sources added.
