Marine Sports Club to hold World Aquabike Champ’ships

KUWAIT CITY, Oct. 26: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Marine Sports Club, Muhammad Al-Zanki, announced that the Marine Sports Club will hold the World Aquabike Championships from November 11-13, 2021, at the Marina Beach in the State of Kuwait for the second time under the auspices of the Public Authority for Sports. Al-Zanki said in a press statement that the world competition for water bikes will be held with the participation of local, Gulf and international competitors for more than 27 countries from different continents of the world, which will enhance the return of Kuwait to restore its usual and distinguished position in the sports field, and on the other hand it is an incentive for athletes to achieve more sports championships and experience, he added.

Al-Zanki added that the presence of champions from more than 30 countries from different continents of the world is in line with the achievement of Kuwait Vision 2030 in the sports field, due to the attention of all champions, amateurs and lovers of this sport to Kuwait and their follow-up to all its news. Al-Zanki promised many surprises prepared by the Marine Sports Club during the life of the competition, which will intensify the honest competition between the contestants for the first places in the podiums. Al-Zanki indicated that the Marine Sports Club was established in March 2019 by the Public Sports Authority with the aim of developing future plans for the development of marine sports, after the distinguished achievements of this sport in Kuwait at the regional and global levels. He explained that the Marine Sports Club organized a number of local championships for the Jetski and the Motoserve, in addition to participating in many foreign tournaments, in which the Marine Sports Club champions achieved advanced positions in these championships.

Al-Zanki stated that the Marine Sports Club, under the patronage of the late His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God have mercy on him, hosted the World Aquabike Championship from February 13-15, 2020, at the Marina Beach, which was for the first time held in Kuwait with the participation of a number of Among the local, Gulf and international competitors from 27 countries, which was considered a historic event in the State of Kuwait due to the interest of many young people in the world in this sport, which contributed to highlighting the civilized face and its distinctiveness in the sports field in the previous years before the suspension period from the International Olympic Committee. Al-Zanki wished the participants success in the World Jet Ski competition and a pleasant stay in Kuwait during their stay. Al-Zanki thanked all the teams and committees working to organize this important sporting event that will be held on the soil of the State of Kuwait, for their double effort to show the true face of Kuwait in sports forums.
