In Britney Spears' chart-topping memoir, "The Woman in Me," she had nothing but admiration for Mariah, describing her as having an "other-worldly light" when they first met in the early 2000s. Mariah was delighted by Spears' kind words, stating, "I love her, actually."

Mariah, who hadn't heard the exact content of Spears' praise until Kimmel read it aloud, expressed her satisfaction. She quipped about her use of a ring light, saying, "Of course, I had a ring light. By the way, I prefer when you cover the bottom edge of a ring light because, for me, I don't like under lighting. It's very specific."

She also added, "It's incredibly sweet what Britney said about me."
