Marafi: Kuwait’s ‘Schengen’ file is complete, now in the European Parliament’s hands

KUWAIT CIY, Nov 21, (Agencies): In response to an inquiry about the current status of exempting Kuwaitis from the Schengen visa, Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs, stated that “the Kuwaiti file is complete, and the entire matter is now in the hands of the European Parliament.”

Speaking to reporters during his attendance at the Belgian embassy’s National Day ceremony, he commended the recent positive developments in this regard. Regarding the digital visa for the Schengen space, Marafi clarified that “the concept is not yet fully formed and requires extensive procedures, with potential implementation expected to take up to 5 years.”
