KUWAIT CITY, July 27: In compliance with the directives of Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lieutenant General Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah and Undersecretary Lieutenant General Essam Al-Nahaam, an extensive security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Abdullah Port resulted in the arrest of several expatriates who violated the Residency Law along with marginal workers, 20 of whom were referred for deportation, says Al-Seyassah Staff.

The Security Directorate of Farwaniya Governorate in cooperation with the Traffic Sector, Operations and Kuwait Municipality branch in Farwaniya conducted the campaign which targeted marginal workers and illegal markets in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.

They demolished a number of stalls selling food supplements and food items which do not meet health standards. Similar campaigns were carried out in Hassawi and Abbasiya as per the security plan implemented last Tuesday.

In addition, Ahmadi Security Directorate launched such a campaign at Abdullah Port where 60 persons were arrested for failure to present valid identification cards, eight who escaped from their sponsors and three who hold expired residency permits. During this campaign, the securitymen discovered 10 bottles of liquor and impounded many vehicles.
