Manhunt on for cylinder thief – Wanted Kuwaiti trio held

KUWAIT CITY, April 19: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing two cooking gas cylinders from the home of a Kuwaiti man in Omariya, reports Al-Rai daily. The Kuwaiti had filed a complaint and has submitted to the police CCTV footage to help arrest the suspect. Meanwhile, police have arrested three Kuwaitis who were wanted by law, reports Al-Rai daily. The suspects were picked up in Salhiya. They were arrested on suspicion because they looked confused when they saw a police car. They have been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department.

In other development, police have arrested a Kuwaiti juvenile for running over an elderly Jordanian woman and causing her serious injuries and fractures, reports Al-Anba daily. The accident took place in Al-Naeem in Jahra. The victim has been admitted to the Jahra Hospital in critical condition. The teenager has been handed over to the authorities. It has been reported the juvenile was driving without a licence. And, police are looking for a hit-and-run motorist for running over a child, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the motorist hit the victim while crossing a road. The child has been referred to the Adan Hospital.
