KUWAIT CITY, March 6: An Asian woman purportedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. According to security sources, the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior was notified about the incident by a Kuwaiti citizen. Securitymen and paramedics were dispatched to the location. They pulled down the victim and examined her to discover she was dead. Her corpse has been referred to the Forensics Department. Investigations have been launched to determine if she committed suicide or was murdered. Meanwhile, a Bangladeshi expatriate committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope noose inside his room in Fintas area. His corpse has been referred to the Forensics Department and a case of suicide was registered. KD 150,000 stolen: A Kuwaiti woman accused her Ethiopian housemaid of stealing jewelry worth KD 150,000 from her mother’s house in Rumaithiya area and going into hiding, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to a police report, the Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint against her housemaid at Rumaithiya Police Station, informing securitymen that jewelry of worth KD 150,000 was stolen by her housemaid from her mother’s house in Rumaithiya area after which she is believed to have gone into hiding. Investigations have been launched to find and arrest the suspect. Kuwaiti stabbed: A 1999-born Kuwaiti citizen stabbed a Kuwaiti youth during a quarrel between them in Fintas area. According to security sources, the victim’s father went to Fintas Police Station and filed a case against the suspect, providing securitymen with details about him. He revealed that his son has been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit as he was stabbed several times by the suspect. Investigations have been launched to find and arrest the suspect. Meanwhile, an Egyptian expatriate lodged a complaint at Salmiya Police Station against two Indian expatriates, accusing them of beating him. Investigations are ongoing to find and arrest the two suspects. Man threatened: A Kuwaiti citizen lodged a complaint against an unknown person who threatened to gun him down on the Fourth Ring Road while inside a vehicle. A security source said the citizen went to Andalous police station to file a complaint and provided the number plate of the suspect’s vehicle.
