KUWAIT CITY, Aug 4: The Third Circuit of the Criminal Court acquitted a defendant of stealing a safe containing gold jewelry, other valuables and official documents, as well as breaking into the house of his stepmother at night and damaging security cameras and doors, reports Al- Seyassah daily. The Public Prosecution charged the defendant with the aforementioned offenses and requested the court to punish him according to the Penal Code. Attorney Ayed Al-Rashidi, lawyer of the accused, argued in court about the absence of the elements of the crime in the acts attributed to him and that the evidence was insufficient for conviction, thereby leading to the acquittal of his client.
