Majority of visitors to Saudi Arabia were Kuwaitis

Entertainment main reason for travel

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: The Government Communication Center for Joint Media Action in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia published facts and figures, from the statistics of the Ministry of Tourism for the year 2021, reports Al- Qabas daily.

The statistics show that the majority of visitors to the Kingdom during the 2021 were Kuwaitis, and put the figure at 623,000. It also showed that the total number of tourists in the Kingdom for the year 2021 was 67 million, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah topped the list with more than 14 million, followed by Riyadh with more than 10 million. The main reason listed by the communication center was entertainment with a rate of 47.2%. The Ministry of Tourism said: “The beauty of the place, the diversity of nature and the generosity of the people is what attracts others to the Kingdom.”
