KUWAIT CITY, Sept 4: The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy spent KD 151.5 million on developing, modernizing and maintaining the electricity network during the last fiscal year, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to informed sources in the ministry, the amounts were spent on installing main transmission stations, secondary distribution stations, and ground cables through new and ongoing contracts concluded by the ministry with a number of specialized international companies, with the aim of raising the network’s carrying capacity, extending the electrical current to new areas, and making it ready to bear the burdens, especially during the summer.
