KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the General Department for Drug Control, under the aegis of the Ministry of Interior, has made a substantial seizure, apprehending a large consignment of illicit drugs worth approximately 200,000 Kuwaiti dinars. The operation culminated in the capture of 10 kilograms of high-purity heroin and methamphetamine, showcasing the ministry's unyielding commitment to combating the drug menace that plagues society.

The operation was meticulously carried out by specialized teams who managed to arrest an Asian national involved in spearheading a sophisticated network dedicated to the smuggling and distribution of narcotics within the country. Further probes into the case unveiled that the suspect was operating under directives from an accomplice based abroad, a notorious drug lord currently on the radar of international law enforcement with an arrest warrant to his name.

In the possession of the accused were found 6 kilograms of heroin and 4 kilograms of methamphetamine, which were poised for widespread distribution across the nation.
