Maids in booze trade

KUWAIT CITY, July 11: Two Asian female domestic workers were arrested for manufacturing liquor inside a house in Saad Al-Abdullah area. According to a security source, Private Taskforce officers were patrolling the area based on instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs of Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah when they noticed two women standing near a house with a huge bag.

Officers approached them and checked the bag to find 14 bottles of locally manufactured liquor. Investigations revealed that one of them was planning to buy the liquor from the other. After taking necessary legal measures, the officers raided the house and confiscated 994 bottles and a number of barrels of liquor. Two Asian women were arrested from the house and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for further investigations

Drug pills with Indian: Customs officers at the Kuwaiti International Airport recently foiled an attempt by an Indian to smuggle 300 Tramadol pills into the country, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the drugs were found hidden in bags. The Indian has been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
