Maid threatens to kill ‘sponsor’

KUWAIT CITY, June 8: Jahra security forces apprehended a female domestic worker after she allegedly threatened to kill her Gulf citizen sponsor inside his home. According to security sources, the Ministry of Interior’s Operations Room received a report about the incident on Sunday night, prompting immediate response from security patrols. Upon arrival, officers found the domestic worker in a state of extreme agitation and distress. Necessary measures were taken to ensure the safety of the family and prevent the situation from escalating. The sponsor informed security personnel that he refused to allow the domestic worker to return to her home or continue working for him, and requested legal action to be taken against her, including the transfer of sponsorship or deportation. Security personnel began questioning the woman to determine the circumstances behind the threat before taking appropriate legal action.
