Magnitude 6.0 Earthquake Strikes Off Western Mexico

MEXICO CITY, June 30: A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck off the western coast of Mexico on Tuesday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake was recorded about 75 kilometers (46.6 miles) south-southwest of El Progreso at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), the USGS said.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage, and authorities were monitoring the situation.
