KUWAIT CITY, Jun 27: A routine patrol in Bneid Al-Qar turned into a major security operation after officers uncovered a group of individuals allegedly in possession of alcohol and showing signs of intoxication inside a black SUV.
According to a security source, officers from the Capital Support Patrol noticed loud noises coming from the vehicle while passing through the area, prompting them to stop and inspect the SUV.
Inside, officers found an Arab expatriate behind the wheel along with four Kuwaiti citizens. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two bottles of imported liquor.
Authorities also observed that three of the passengers appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, raising further suspicion.
The four citizens were referred to the General Directorate for Drug Control for investigation, while the Arab expatriate was transferred to the Deportation Department for legal action.
The incident highlights continued security patrol efforts to crack down on illegal activities and violations of Kuwait’s laws.
