Losses in mismanaged demolition

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: Investigations have been launched over the mismanaged demolition of a building which resulted in the damage of several nearby vehicles and sheds, and caused panic among the bystanders particularly children.

A video clip of the demolition went viral on social media recently. When the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior and the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) received information about the incident, securitymen were dispatched to the location.

Reportedly, an engineer was assigned to handle the demolition but the building was brought down in a wrong way that led to the damage of nearby vehicles and sheds. No casualties were reported. Necessary legal procedures will be taken against the contractor.
