DUBAI, Sept 11: Skilled professionals seeking employment in the UAE can enter Dubai on a job exploration visit visa without having a local employer or sponsor, according to the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.

The single-entry visa allows eligible jobseekers to enter the emirate and explore employment opportunities, attend interviews, take part in recruitment processes and build professional networks while searching for suitable positions.

Applicants can choose a visa valid for 60, 90 or 120 days, depending on the time required to seek employment. The stay may be extendable subject to applicable regulations and approval, with the total period potentially reaching 180 days.

The visa is designed for professionals who want to conduct their job search from within the UAE rather than applying for positions from outside the country.

Applicants must meet specific educational and professional criteria.

Generally, candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification, while the jobs they seek must fall under skill levels 1, 2 or 3 in the classification adopted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

Recent graduates may also qualify if they graduated within the previous two years from one of the world's top 500 universities, based on recognised international rankings.

Applicants may also be required to demonstrate that they have sufficient financial resources to cover their expenses during their stay.
