Liquor factories busted

KUWAIT CITY, April 11: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have busted three apartments in the suburb of Mahboula which had been turned in factories for manufacturing alcohol, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The Directorate General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry said 86 barrels of raw material, and 310 bottles ready for sale, 5 distillation devices, have been seized and handed over to the concerned authority which is in charge of destroyed such seized material. The suspects have been referred to the Directorate- General of Drugs and Alcohol Control. The raid came upon directives of the Undersecretary of the Security Sector, Major- General Faraj Al-Zoubi.
