KUWAIT CITY, Jan 6: An Asian expatriate was arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area for violating the residency law for four months and possessing number of bottles of locally manufactured liquor. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area when they noticed an individual sitting inside a vehicle parked in front of a building. They approached him and demanded him to open the trunk of the vehicle. They found cartons of locally manufactured liquor bottles. When securitymen questioned the suspect, he revealed that he was planning to sell the liquor bottles to his clients. They checked the details of the vehicle to discover it was rented from a car rental office. The suspect was arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him. Meanwhile, securitymen recovered a stolen vehicle which was parked in a lot in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area.

3 hurt in fight: A quarrel among five Kuwaiti citizens on Kabad Road resulted in injuries to three of them who were taken to Farwaniya Hospital private vehicles for treatment. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from Farwaniya Hospital management about three injured individuals admitted in the hospital, securitymen rushed to the hospital, questioned them and held investigations. Necessary action was taken against them and they will be referred to the concerned authorities. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen and his son lodged a complaint at Sulaibiya Police Station against his neighbor of GCC nationality, accusing the latter of beating his son when he went to a nearby grocery shop. Necessary action was taken.

Car impounded: Jahra police have arrested a reckless Kuwaiti motorist for making stunts with his vehicle and endangering the lives of fellow motorists and passersby, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the suspect was caught in front of the Abdali Cooperative Society. The daily added, the suspect was arrested after someone posted his video on the social network. The Kuwaiti’s car has been impounded.
